Three days in Havana, Cuba

The planning for this tour of Cuba started in 2009 while on a cruise ship sailing from Jamaica to Fort Lauderdale. As we viewed the island of Cuba in the distance, an announcement was made on the ship about passing  this once great tourist destination that was off limits to us. We decided to put Cuba on our "Bucket List" and would visit the island as soon as it opened its doors to U.S. tourists.

While travel to Cuba for U.S. citizens remains prohibited, new regulations make it easier for Americans without family ties to travel to Cuba for a variety of reasons, including so-called “people-to-people” contacts. The Treasury Department’s regulations on travel to Cuba.
